Drama games, musical theatre, performances.
When: Saturdays 3-4:30pm. (Starting week 2, Saturday 12th May)
Venue: The Wilson Centre Rec Hall, 1 St Leonards Road, Hauraki
Cost: $150 per term (can pay weekly/casually)
Ages: 7-18 (Split into age appropriate groups)
(Carer support accepted)

Lock, pop and hip hop with Touch Compass Dance Co. Open to everyone, if you have a disability or not it makes no difference to us - everyone can Hip Hop!
When: Saturdays with Colette. (Starts week 2, Saturday 12th May)
      1:00 - 1:40pm Kids (Primary age)
      1:45 - 2:30pm Youth (Intermediate/High School)

YOUTH CLASS

Venue: Grey Lynn Community Centre Hall, 510 Richmond Rd, Grey Lynn
Cost: $120 (Carer support available)

This term will be working towards an installation performance art piece for InMotion Matariki following the success of last year’s inaugural parade. Please note there will be two extra rehearsals added for the InMotion Matariki parade; on 26th May & 17th June (TBC). Parade dress rehearsal is planned for Friday 20th July with the parade on Saturday 21st July.

COMMUNITY CLASS

Term 2:

Cost: $150 (Carer support available)

This term we will be focusing on developing a performance piece with glow objects to perform as part of Touch Compass’s InMotion Matariki illuminated inclusive parade,  following from the success of last year’s inaugural event. An extra rehearsal for InMotion Matariki parade is planned for Saturday 14th June TBC. Parade dress rehearsal is planned for Friday 20th July with the parade on Saturday 21st July.

(Please note there is no class on Queen’s Birthday weekend).

WELLINGTON Integrated DANCE (WID)

WID is run by Sumara Fraser under the Touch Compass Dance Trust umbrella.
Develop skills in contemporary dance, contact improvisation and choreography that you can apply to your own performance and movement practice. A fun class open to all skill levels.
Term 1 : Saturdays, 11.00am - 1.00pm

CALLING ALL DANCE STUDENTS

Calling all dance students - or those keen on being a dance mentor!
Touch Compass is offering a unique opportunity for students, adults, or anyone who loves dance to support dancers with disabilities at our youth and community classes.
Classes are free for support dancers and provide valuable professional development and a pathway to connecting professionally with Touch Compass.
This is a hugely rewarding role with collaboration and mentoring at its heart.
Youth classes: Tuesdays 4.30-6.00pm, age 13-24 years
Community classes: Saturdays 1.30-3.30pm, age 13 up
