On 3rd December, Touch Compass will recognise the United Nations' International Day of Persons with Disabilities with two distinct presentations of ON DISPLAY, one in Auckland and one in Wellington.
ON DISPLAY, by Heidi Latsky of New York is a deconstructed art exhibit/fashion show and commentary on the body as a spectacle and society's obsession with body image. It turns a cast of diverse bodies into a sculpture court where the performers are the sculptures. ON DISPLAY began as a simple human sculpture court and is now a global movement, a growing portfolio of works that explore and demonstrate inclusion through art.
Do you want to part in the exhibit?
We're on the hunt for people to participate in this unique installation! Contact us NOW to take part! You do NOT need to have any professional performance experience to take part – although we won’t turn away those that do. Clothing provided if necessary.
Diversity is the key here, and why we want YOU! Diversities include, but are not limited to; age, size, race, culture, disability (physical, intellectual, social), beauty, gender (incl. transgender), LGBTIQ+, distinguishing features (eg tattoos, unusual hair etc).
